An Oak Tree News: Extension & New Guests Announced

We are delighted to announce that An Oak Tree will be extending its run at the Young Vic from 06th – 24th of May, along with further names of guest actors for the 20th anniversary production.

At each performance, Tim Crouch will be joined by a different guest artist, who will have neither seen nor read a single word of the play – until they’re in it. We’re thrilled to welcome Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Richard II), Jessie Buckley (The Lost Daughter, Cabaret), Arthur Darvill (Broadchurch, Oklahoma!), Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen, The Motive and the Cue), Julie Hesmondhalgh (Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Punch) and Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World, Black Mirror).

They join the previously announced Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Michelle Terry, Luke Thompson, Russell Tovey and Indira Varma. Each guest artist will be revealed to audiences live on the night, as they join Tim on stage. Stay tuned on our socials as the final remaining artists are to be announced in the coming weeks!

A father loses his daughter in a car accident. The driver of the car that killed her is a stage hypnotist. The two men meet for the first time when the father volunteers for the hypontist’s act. What follows is a live theatrical experience like no other – a bold and absurdly comic story of loss, suggestion and the power of the mind.

Make sure to secure your tickets now for one of the most influential new plays of the 21st century.

Directed by Tim Crouch, Karl James and Andy Smith
