Shedinburgh heads to Edinburgh & London for 2026, with first artists announced

Shedinburgh is heading back to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, in its new home, Assembly Checkpoint from 7–30 Aug. Then, we’re packing up the shed, popping it on an LNER train and bringing it down to London, where it’ll be taking up residence at the Young Vic from 19 Sep – 10 Oct.

We can also reveal the first artists joining us in the shed this year: Sara Pascoe, Bryony Kimmings, Rosie Jones, and Inua Ellams.

We’ve also announced two Festival Takeovers for our Edinburgh programme:

  • Forest Fringe – Returning to the Fringe for the first time in 10 years with two days of experimental, live art and performance.
  • Birmingham Hippodrome – The New Musical Theatre Department presents two days showcasing the best of new musicals.

Finally, we announced that we’ve partnered with four leading new writing venues to expand Shed Originals, our script development programme: Lowry, Salford (England), Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh (Scotland), Abbey Theatre, Dublin (Ireland), and Theatr Clwyd, Flintshire (Wales).

Our full season will be announced in May, when tickets will also go on sale. To be the first to hear, make sure to sign up to the Shedinburgh mailing list.
