The Shedload-Of-Future Fund is back for 2026!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Shedload-of-Future Fund is back for 2026!

This year, we’re increasing the number of grants we’re awarding to artists making their Edinburgh Fringe debuts, to 5x £5,000 bursaries. This is thanks to generous support from comedy legends Joe Lycett and Nish Kumar, alongside industry partners Multitude Media, Plosive, and Mick Perrin Worldwide.

The fund is available to all applicable performers and companies spanning theatre, comedy, music and the performing arts, increasing support available to first-time Edinburgh Fringe performers. As the cost of taking a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe continues to rise and financial support declines, FMP and Shedinburgh are committed to ensuring that more artists – especially those from low-income backgrounds – can access the festival.

Applications open on 11 March – all information about what’s on offer and who can apply can be found on the Shedinburgh website.

“Taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe is no mean feat, especially your first. But it couldn’t be more important – careers are launched, new stories are told, life long collaborations begin. And what’s more worthy of support than that?”  – Francesca Moody
